Students majoring in business, who desire to one day succeed in business, management, finance or marketing, a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS), may be for you. Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision & Management is offered to students who already have an AA, AS or AAS, a minimum GPA of 2.0 or 60 college-level credits.

This program is offered in different branches: General Management, Marketing and Sales, Project Management, Emergency Management Services and Human Resources.

BAS can help a student receive a new job opportunity, open new doors, and give the student skills they need to succeed further in their chosen career. Students do not have to worry about leaving their whole lives behind to be in school yet again. Instead, BAS works with the student and provides flexibility while in the program. How and when the student finishes the program is up to the student.

Eileen Diaz, who works within BAS in Supervision & Management, expressed there are and were students who have full-time jobs with their degree already but seek more skills to keep up with the job demands.  A personal bachelor advisor is also provided to students as well throughout this journey, so the student never feels alone or lost.

“Students appreciate the flexibility of taking classes and meeting with their advisors either in person or virtually,” said Diaz, Manager, BAS Student Support.  The program is open all year round for students with no waitlist or deadline to start. As long as the student has the necessary requirements, the student will be able to get into the BAS program.

Students are also encouraged to apply during their last semester before they graduate, so the students know beforehand if they are qualified. The program is 120 hours in total and could go over that based on the student’s wants and mindset. There is no strict scheduling that has to be in place if the student decides they want to take the program mostly online. They can do so. The student can take the number of credits they are comfortable with per semester.

“A Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Supervision and Management is a very versatile degree that can increase your job prospects and advancement opportunities across many industries in both the private and public sectors. Our students learn practical skills needed to thrive in the business world from professors who work in the field,” said Diaz.
