As the new term begins, students are greeted with fresh opportunities and experiences. Remember, despite the excitement, keeping classes a top priority is essential. Whether enrolled in 2 or 4 courses or tackling 12 to 20 credits, organization is critical to surviving and thriving this term. Fortunately, various apps can make managing academic life easier and more efficient. These apps assist in streamlining tasks and enhance the overall learning experience. Students should consider using five essential apps— Notion, Mail, Navigate, Pulse, and LinkedIn- for academic success and professional development.

Notion, a versatile workspace, is a powerful tool that empowers you to take control of your academic life. It allows you to write notes, create task lists, manage projects and collaborate. While it may seem daunting at first, using the main table to track assignments and deadlines is straightforward.

Several YouTube channels, such as Wesley Anna or Sab Yang, can assist with more than just study organization. They often offer templates, making it easier to fill out information. Notion’s flexibility and customization make it an ideal application for students, not only for its pleasing appearance but also for its organizational functionality. You can create individual pages for each course, organize class notes, and schedule assignment due dates, giving you a sense of empowerment and control over your academic life.

However, only some things are about the organization. Communication is a crucial factor in succeeding in academic life. It is essential to keep up with Email for academic success. So, why not add it to the phone’s email app? It is vital to stay informed about campus activities and crucial updates, assignment details and feedback from professors.

Some professors may even request that work done in class be sent to their school email. Set specific times to check email once a day or just on days when there are classes, which are good techniques. An institution might have spam emails, so do not hesitate to delete them to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Email apps like Gmail or Outlook offer features like snoozing emails and setting reminders, ensuring never to miss an important message.

Navigate is a student-focused application designed to provide you with personalized academic guidance, making you feel supported and guided in your academic journey. It offers many features, from scheduling appointments with educational advisors to registering for courses. The app tailors its assistance to your needs, helping you select courses, plan your academics, and utilize campus resources effectively. Navigate also sends reminders for essential deadlines like registration dates and advisor meetings, ensuring you never miss an important event. Using this app is necessary as it allows you to schedule appointments with the employment solution to help build your resume. This application is particularly beneficial for first-year students who are still adjusting to college life.

Pulse is a mobile app that integrates seamlessly with Broward Online learning management system; look for “BCOnline.” Pulse is intuitive but remember that different professors may organize their courses differently, so check it separately for each class. The app provides real-time course updates, offering information about announcements, syllabi, assignment due dates and grades. Pulse allows you to access course materials, participate in discussions, and submit assignments using any mobile device. Its notification feature ensures to get quick updates about any changes to the course. With Pulse, keep all the course information in one convenient place, helping to stay focused and engaged with studies. However, it is essential to note that the app will only function once the first class begins.

While excelling academically through college is crucial, career planning is equally important.

What comes after gradtion?LinkedInis a valuable tool that can make you feel optimistic and prepared for your future career. By setting up a LinkedIn profile, you can connect with industry professionals, become part of relevant professional groups, and keep up with new job openings. To fully utilize LinkedIn, Broward College offers workshops specifically focused on crafting resumes and optimizing the profile. These workshops provide valuable guidance on creating an impactful resume and establishing a solid online presence, increasing the likelihood of securing a job. LinkedIn is not just a social platform, but a powerful tool that can help you shape your future career.

Incorporating essential apps into your routine can significantly improve your academic experience and help you succeed.
