While the league is trying to continue the effort to add an All-Star game in March, many players are giving their feedback towards this action. Many players don’t think it’s a good idea to add an All-Star game to a shortened season and while COVID-19 is still an issue.

Many of the players believe it is not worth all this effort to add a game that does not affect the standings, when it’s hard enough to play games with COVID affecting their seasons. You just think what if there is an outbreak at this event when this game does not have any worth to their season. The league did such a great job with the addition to the bubble with adding many expenses to that, to help ensure that the players are safe. But is it really worth it to go out of the way to add this event to make it even harder to keep players safe?

Lebron James added his opinion about adding this All-Star game, which got many people’s attention around the league and the world.

Lebron James told the reporters, “I have zero energy and zero excitement about an All-Star game this year.”

James does not understand why they are trying to plan this All-Star game, but it has to do with the agreement that the players and the association of the NBA.

James also added and said if he is added to an All-Star team he will show up and play but as he said he has zero energy and excitement to play.

If the biggest star in basketball does not want to be there and will be going through the motions what does this say about the All-Star game. The season with the pandemic has been hard enough but many players think adding this is going to be much harder.

James was not the only star in basketball to say how they felt about this game. Another big star in the NBA, Giannis Antetokounmpo said, “we all got to follow the big dog, man. If the big dog says he’s zero excited, zero energy for the All-Star game, I’m the same way. I want to see my family. I got zero energy, zero excitement.”

Kawhi Leonard also said, “it is what it is. We all know why we are playing it. It’s money on the line. It’s an opportunity to make more money. Just putting money over health right now, pretty much.”

Other big names such as De’Aaron Fox, Kemba Walker, James Harden and Chris Paul have all said what they thought and agreed with James and the other stars. The players don’t think it’s right to have an All-Star game, but they all pretty much stated that it’s money on the line and that’s all they care about over our health.

As you can see, the players do not think it’s wise to add an All-Star game when there is a pandemic going on. But it looks as if there may be an All-Star game to be played.

With the players giving their feedback on the All-Star game, maybe it will help them prove their point and eliminate the All-Star game.
