The following photos showcase Broward College South’s Monotype Printmaking Workshop instructed by BC art professor Jônatas Chimen.
Regdarding the workshop, Chimen stated, “In everything around us, there’s no outline. It’s just a matter of contrast. That’s how we stand out from the background. You need to learn how to see that.”
“When you create, you are an artist. Don’t look at what other people are doing to make sure you’re doing the same thing that is selling. That’s my advice. Become a movement through your own inspiration. Once you’re done you must have a good website, a good artist statement, you have to know how to price things, reach the audience in a certain way.”
