From the beginning to the end of October, spooky vibes are in the air. Scary movies, costumes, decorum and celebrations take over the community at every corner. Whether you plan to trick or treat or harvest and carve pumpkins, Halloween is a holiday for all ages to enjoy fun festivities and treats. If you are looking to get your spook on in South Florida, here are 6 events you need to attend. 

1. Arts Park Boo Bash

One of Hollywood’s biggest Halloween events is back for its 9th annual celebration. A family-friendly event filled with candy, food, games, and a free concert, for 9 years in a row Boo Bash has provided a safe space for children to enjoy the festivities during Halloween whilst promoting Arts Park as a local and tourist attraction. The event is Friday, Oct. 26 from 7 to 10 p.m.

2. Paranoia Horror Maze

Located in the heart of Wynwood, this maze is here to scare for the first time in south Florida. If you are really looking for a thrill this Halloween, this is where you will want to visit. Will you survive the maze, or will you chicken out? This venue is open Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets are $25 per person at the door.

3. Spooky Halloween Dance Party

A free Halloween dance for the whole family to attend is taking place Thursday, Oct. 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This event will be held at Bass Park in Fort Lauderdale with food and drinks available for purchase. Admission is free and so is dancing!

4. Margate Fall Festival

Taking place at the Margate Sports Complex, the Margate Fall Festival is back again this year. Pumpkin carving, scarecrow building, spooky games and costume contests, and even a chili cook-off is on the night’s itinerary. The event is scheduled to take place Saturday, Oct. 27 from 6 to 11 p.m.

5. Halloween at River Run Park

Where can you get free admission and free candy? On Halloween day from 6 to 9 p.m. at River Run Park in Miramar. Nothing screams Halloween better than a pumpkin patch and a haunted house for the entire family. Refreshments will be available to purchase.

6. House of Horror Haunted Carnival

The Miami International Mall is here to bring you the spookiest event of all everyday until Nov. 3. This experience is back with two brand new haunted houses ready to get you spooked. Tickets are only $15 for everyone on Halloween Day. Food and drinks will be available for purchase and all rides and attractions are free with ticket purchase. 

Attend one or attend them all, but you must go to one Halloween event this year in South Florida. With so much events to offer, it is hard to resist any! Confront your fears and bring out your inner monster this Halloween. Remember to have fun, but put your safety first.
