Owning a car is one of the biggest and more stressful milestones in a young adult’s life. We all know the horror story of buying lemons either due to naivete or lack of funds.
Finding a car you can trust and afford can be challenging even in the best of circumstances which, is something not many college students find themselves in nowadays.
Owning a good car can be the difference between making it to class on time or winding up as a cautionary tale at an intersection.
With this in mind, Broward College has partnered with Toyota, to help its students take this step a bit more safely.
AutoNation Toyota Weston boasts locations in Davie, Pembroke Pines, Miramar and Plantation.
According to its mission statement, they are “dedicated to having the Toyota you want…for your daily commute,” a promise they will now be making to the graduating students of Broward College.
The partnership happened due to a built-out program with AutoNation, according to David Rigby, District Director of Corporate Sponsorship for Broward College.
The partnership will make Toyota Weston a preferred partner of Broward College, which will grant it certain assets.
These assets include full use of BC’s logo, mark, colors and IP on promotional platforms, and advertising in social media.
Toyota Weston will also become an integrated sponsor for the upcoming graduation ceremonies held for BC students, which will mean more advertisement for the company.
This will include the company’s inclusion in selected marketing materials, signage at graduation ceremonies, inclusion in social media, inclusion in The Observer, and an information station at the ceremony.
In return, Toyota Weston will become a preferred partner of Broward College, and will also amplify their First Time Buyer’s message and experience to Broward College’s student base through social media platforms, which will include Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook.
When asked about how this deal would benefit students, Rigby said that students at BC would also benefit from the deal as it would help students “buy cars and build credit.”
To further help in this endeavor, the partnership with Toyota Weston will be setting up a College Graduate Finance Program. This program will give graduating college students the opportunity to drive a new Toyota or TCUV.
The program will also give graduating students and their families access to exclusive offers.
Broward College will also give Toyota Weston promotion in the way of on screen messaging to students on facility controlled computers, access to messaging on closed circuit TV monitors in Broward College facilities, digital media opportunities in selected student gathering places, and a minimum of 1.5 hours per day in school.
The partnership is set to last from the beginning of this semester to August 2018.
